20 plus yr old quarter horse gelding. Worked his entire life. The last 4 years he spent standing in a straight stall waiting for the next lesson to show up because it was the only time he would see daylight. This sweet, gentle soul was forced on Christine. Amaryllis took him that day or he shipped to slaughter. The comment/demand happens frequently and we cringe, but cannot help the horse. This time it was too much to bear. Literally. So meet Bear, or Teddy Bear as we call him. He is a mess. His feet were astonishingly long (with ancient shoes at the tips), he has untreated cushings and requires a special diet. And CARE. Boy does he require CARE. And man, did he EARN HIS KEEP for SO LONG!
