Spooky is a 9 yr-old non-registered TB mare (we do know her lineage).  She is bay with a star, 15.3 hands.  Spooky is a misnomer; she is brave and inquisitive; she loves to go in a trailer.  She was 3 yrs old and just barely halter broke when we adopted her.  I trained her on basic ground manners and for riding hunter/jumpers.  This was done on a sporadic schedule because I was in school so she probably had a total of 90-120 days of actual training -- she was very easy to train.  She was showing 2 foot baby hunter courses and jumping almost 3 feet in lessons when she badly cracked one of her front hooves.  She spent nearly a year re-growing her foot; when she was sound enough to ride again, I was pregnant and could not retrain her.  Now, between having a second child and moving, she has had several years of not being ridden.

Both are easy keepers on pasture boarding; they are in New Jersey now.  They come when called and stand well for the farrier.  Blue is now barefoot.  Spooky wears shoes on the front.  They do not cross-tie -- only because we never really needed to tie them.  They are very attached to each other.  Since they have had so long off of work, I am considering both unbroken.  They are suitable as "pasture ornaments" or for someone with experience who is looking for a project.
