Red

Adopted!

"Red" is a registered QH gelding 17yrs. 15.3h.  Retired from a lesson program because he was not staying sound under work.  He arrived at Amaryllis with a few lameness issues, but nothing we could not handle.  His extensive thrush was treated and his farrier rehab begun.  Red came into his own here at Amaryllis and helped us build the farm.  A great, great horse.  He was adopted by an awesome kid who worships the ground he walks on.  And he lives very close by.

Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue has helped me a lot in learning about horses. When I first met my horse Red, he was recovering from serious abuse. Amaryllis Farm has done a wonderful job rehabilitating him and he is now a wonderful loving horse. Red means so much to me and my family. If it wasn't for Amaryllis Farm I would not have such a great horse. I ride him six days a week. He is now healthy and in perfect condition. I give him all the love I can give to him and make sure he knows that he is always going to be loved. Red is now living on a sixteen acre farm in Amagansett were I ride and take care of him. Red has had a second chance in life and I'm so happy to be a part of it! Thank you so much!
