"Pilgrim" is an 5 year old mule.  He is sweet and timid.  He was rescued from a truck bringing him and 2 other mules to be skinned at a tanners in the mid west.. He is young and sensitive. He is very babyish and adores having his ears rubbed! He was very best friends with Aramis...our "mule-napping racehorse"!

 Although he was used in a summer camp program he is very immature and we do not ride him for this reason.  He is extremely spooky. He is, however a phenomenal pet and he adores people.  We refuse to separate him and Nemo.  They cannot leave the Hamptons area.

UPDATE JANUARY 2010:

Pilgrim and Nemo are 5 and 8 yrs respectively and they are inseparable mules.  Both stand about 14.1h.  They are adoptable as a pair only.  Fencing must be the "Escape Proof" kind because, again you are dealing with incredibly intelligent animals. Nemo is quiet and safe to ride.  Pilgrim can be comical, though he is well broke.   Mules are quite different from horses. 
Perhaps you would like to do a lease trial before really committing?  Very smart.  We can facilitate that as well. Remember, too we can FULL board your rescued horse here for $500 monthly. Just reach out to us.
