Jed
Adopted!
Jed lives in a
wonderful sanctuary Amaryllis operates on a Watermill Estate

"Jed" is an ex Amish work horse with
bashed in front teeth and a fear of humanity that is startling. He
is 10 and has full collar marks and obvious wear and tear from his job.
Thankless job, he ended up heading for slaughter. We saved him with
another....shown in the photo his buddy Ellie Mae. They have been
adopted together and will remain together here on a fabulous farm.
See what we can do....what a little love
can do? Jed decided after a few months that he really did like his belly
being scratched!

Please bear with me on the website updating! Now the photos are
coming in in all different sizes! Sorry!
HE STILL NEEDS TO WORK ON TRUSTING HIS HUMAN AS HE WAS ABUSED AND HIT IN
THE FACE OFTEN. ONCE HE TRUSTS YOU, HE IS A GREAT HORSE. HE SEEKS A
HOME WITH SPACE WHERE HE CAN WANDER AROUND AND JUST RELAX. HE IS HANDSOME
AND SOUND.

Jed has not fully recovered from the
beatings he obviously endured daily throughout his lifetime. He is,
however a very happy, content horse now and lives with good friends Ellie
Mae and Sargent, Mayor and Jasmine. He was adopted by the estate
owner and all his bills are paid for. Thank God for caring people!

The damage done to Jed, physically was only
a shadow of the damage done mentally. He was cracked in the face
with a weapon every time he looked in the direction of his person.
He was whipped and beat and he was used until lame. Sold to
slaughter for the last nickel possible out of him, by a heartless non man.
Jed has improved immensely living in the awesome conditions of the Estate
Sanctuary. He is free to roam the acres with his buddies. He
is not ever forced to do anything he does not want to. He is told he
is handsome and special and loved twice a day. He is dramatically
improved about having his feet done, but holds his breath for most of the
experience. We will never ask anything of Jed but that he consider
the fact that we are different and REALLY do LOVE him.
The sanctuary has been indescribably
therapeutic for Jed.
