"Captain....that's Captain Jack Sparrow"! Jack is an almost 4 year old warmblood who my mom actually saw first and said "SAVE HIM!" He stood on a feedlot that ships to Mexico slaughter.  Save him we did and after a 2 month wait, he got on board the trailer to safety with 5 others. He had great pleasure in yelling out as he was carried away just in time by the good trailer: "Alas my friends, this is the day you shall always remember as the day you ALMOST caught Captain Jack Sparrow!" He arrived confused, thin and anxious.  He is a cribber and did not stop.  Jack needed the vet right away.  He had a tumor on his chest which turned out to be cancerous.  It was fully removed.  Jack has many more of the nasty sarcoids on him and he has the wart growths in his ears worse than any horse I have ever seen.  He is undergoing extensive treatments for the removal of all sarcoids and he is on a special weight gain program.  Jack is, without question the most depressed horse ever to unload off a trailer here.  It is my every intention to heal his spirit. I have now moved him to the main barn where BAY can help me with him.  His best buddy is Pocahontas and they are never apart.  We will not allow them to be separated now.

Jack needs financial assistance from vet bills to basic care costs and EXTRA TREATS!!! Help me convince this sweet boy he is special and will be looking forward to the BEST life!  Consider sponsoring him, please!

Update February 14, 2008 Jack has made an extraordinary turnaround!  With Bay's help he has found the ability and DESIRE to PLAY and Play and Play!  He remains with Pocohantas and we have decided he always will.  They are best friends and adore each other.  He has been gaining weight steadily.
