Jolie's Intention

Available

1996 year old, 16 hh, OTTB, (raced and had $304,872 in winnings).

Quiet, gentle and sane.  Arthritis in front legs/feet.  Cribs.   Apparently he went from the racetrack to the slaughter truck  He was saved off the truck simply because he was the one bleeding the most.  The legs of the horses were crossed and tied to enable more horses to fit.  Chase was the lucky one that day.  He became a show horse and then ultimately the cherished friend of a young girl.  Stabled in a boarding facility as many are, his hour a day turnout left him arthritic and unable to continue.

Chase needs sponsorship............please help this special horse!

Our animal healers Carlie and Victoria went right to work on a grateful Chase.  His body is slowly going to adjust to regular exercise and 24 hour turnout to get the blood flowing.  Gentle massages will help his muscles adapt.  He adores everyone and is already a barn favorite!

Chase has been promised a whole year to recover and rejuvenate.  Arthritic and feet issues will be reassessed in the summer of 2010.

Frisco and Chasie play all day! They will not be separated

Well, today is the first day of summer 2010 and we kept our promise to Chasie.  He has received our best care and though his hooves continue to improve, he is unsound.  Arthritis prevails.  Potential easy riding for a lightweight rider but no more than that.  He and Frisco are also completely bonded.  They chose each other and this is the first horse Frisco has attached to since Captain B passed on.  They are inseparable.

Chasiekins (his stable name) raced 41 times, winning 11 and placing second 11.  He raced into his 6th year.

Racetrack to slaughter truck, rescued by show barn and again proven a winner, sold and resold as he made his riders look like winning had something to do with them and they would move "up" on horses.

This special needs, exceptional boy is in need of sponsorship.  HELP with hay is only $200 a month.  Help with grain is only $150 a month.  Joint supplements are only $60 a month.  Farrier is $60 a month.  Bedding is $100 a month.

IF EVERYONE HELPED, ALL THIS HORSE'S NEEDS WOULD BE MET!  For once and at last he could be granted peace without worry.  We adore him.  What more does he have to do to earn his safety????????
