Rescued
haflinger pony from upstate NY last Christmas. He was in
OK shape (maybe a little thin) - he was getting attacked by a stallion
donkey and had bite marks all over. I was promised that he was a
childrens pony and he is sadly not. He was very friendly and social
and a people's horse from the get go. There was 4 feet of snow on the
ground and I only quickly rode him - there was no indoor. Instead of
bringing home hay, I brought home this pony. I have tried my best ( I
am a beginner) to work with him. I have 2 mostly bombproof quarter
horses and two minis. I share him with a friend also. We have both
ridden him as well as our children. He gets alone with the big boys
and I keep him with the minis and he is fine. He is spooky at random
things. He needs more then what I am able to give him and don't have
the finances to pay someone to do it for me. I need desperately to
find him a home ASAP before my husband brings him upstate. I have
tried a few options and nothing has worked out. Are you able to help
me at all? He needs more time and miles. We ride mostly western and
bareback. He follows the big boys in the trail but has spooked a few
times in the pen. I can't figure him out. I don't want to see
anything bad happen to him for he can be sweet. My five year old can
walk him around and tie him up to the fence and braid his mane and
tail and he is fine. I can't just put the girls on him and feel
comfortable. You are basically my last resort.
So, Prince Caspian is almost 5 yrs old and you DO
NOT give a 4yr old pony to a 3 yr old child. He is being evaluated
and we will update. The complete beginners family that saved him
dropped him off with a $50 donation for his needs. His feet are
completely chipped, long and overdue.
Support for this poor pony is
needed desperately please!
