Arapaho is a 10 year old large pony whose owners were forced to give him up due to the economy. The owner explained the reason she was frantic to secure him a safe home.  Her last horse, years ago was being retired and the dealer told her the usual story.  "There is a small boy in Pennsylvania waiting to love on this horse of yours" and through her tears she loaded her fine friend onto the trailer that would take him to a wonderous farm where he would live in peace and love all his days.

The dealer brought him to New Holland, collected several more from unsuspecting sellers and brought them all to slaughter.

We live this truth here at Amaryllis every single day.  We promised this mom of three small children her beloved Arapaho would remain with us forever in honor of the horse whose life was lost by ignorance and barbaric deceit.

Arapaho is seeking a sponsor and he is currently working in the lil cowpokes pony clubs showing kids what amazing friends horses can be.

Cupcake's favorite color is blue and his favorite treat is flax snax.
