Annie
Oakley
ADOPTED!
Annie Oakley an 11 year old Quarter horse mare.
She is a feedlot rescue.
Update: September 2007
Annie is a very special, very intelligent and sweet girl She tries
extremely hard to understand what is asked of her and she tries to
communicate back. She is healthy and happy and sound.

Update February 20,
2008 Annie has completed her lease and is available for adoption.
She is the ultimate ride for an intermediate rider. She is never
lazy and is always willing to give 100%. She deserves a great home,
will be a great trail horse and is completely sound and healthy.
Annie has had quite a
continuing adventure with Amaryllis. Being a safe, sound and healthy
horse she appeared to be an easily adopted animal. Three times Annie
has been adopted, left the barn and fell apart. Three times her
adoptions failed. Each time she would return to work and be the perfect
horse that left. Well, after 3 strikes, we will no longer allow her
to leave. She is a fantastic, safe and extremely smart horse who
will do anything for us. We figure she just was not happy anywhere else.
She likes how she is treated here and who her companions are. AGAIN,
this confirms our NEED for a full sanctuary. There are 17 horses
right now on a waiting list to get into Amaryllis, by the way, as of
today.

Update: ANNIE is fat and
happy as always. She shares her life with Ace and Lauren, both of
whom she adores. Annie is one of the very happiest horses. It
is a great feeling to be able to give the horses just what THEY want.
