Sir Galahad

ADOPTED!

This wonderful gentleman somehow had the misfortune of ending up at the feedlot.

His misfortune, however, was welcome to a small crippled baby horse that was being savagely attacked by the other horses.

When Sir Galahad saw the predicament he went into battle without looking back and cleared the fields.

He then stood and protected this small one while he ate and drank.

He even traveled with him and stayed by him..

He is 17.2 hands tall and he is a tattooed OTTB.

Galahad was always known as the "Perfect Knight".

He was "perfect" in courage, gentleness, courtesy, and chivalry.

We have included a photo of Baby horse so no one will forget him in their prayers.

Update September 2007:  Sir Galahad is such a gentleman.  He had been adopted and fell into some more hard times when he was not fed the way a 17.2 h TB needs to eat.  He was repossessed and the weight put back on.   He is seeking his own person who will keep him at or very near AFER, never jump him and be his real friend.

Update February 2008: We always knew Galahad was special. The jockey club confirmed his tattoo.  He is none other than Super Sup!

SUPER SUP G, 1989 DP = 4-5-4-1-0 (14)

Nashua, Swaps, Man o War...yes, his close relatives!

Can someone find it in their heart to sponsor this fine horse?

He may remain on at Amaryllis forever, but it would be nice to have a person he could call his own.  He is fat and happy and quite sound and energetic. Thank you for thinking about helping him!

Sir Galahad finally found his true destiny and the family that adores him!  He is quite happy living with Laredo on a fabulous vineyard!

See, what Galahad needed was someone like himself.  Someone gentle (which is the sign of TRUE strength), someone who would understand what the other soul needed and selfLESSly give it.

Thank you.  Happy endings like this one make all the work so worthwhile!
